I created this digital story with the intent of using it as an introduction at the beginning of the year with my ELL students. Each new school year, teachers do something to get to know their students. My story will teach my students a bit about my culture. After watching the story they will know me a little bit better and then they can teach me about their culture and backgrounds.
I focused in on three different areas about Madrid in my story: food, attractions, and the World Cup!

What a great video Diana! I love how you work the Spanish vocab in with the storyline. I have been to Madrid twice myself and I, like your boyfriend, really love the ham (jambon?). It's pretty much hanging up in every cantina.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! It was nice to see a digital story similar to mine in that it focused on the culture of another country. Great job working in the Spanish vocab - I plan to do something similar with my digital story on French foods. I'm sure students will love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat way to start the year! Your students will be thrilled to hear about your own life experiences! And its a great way to introduce an opportunity for them to share about their culture, the digital story will provide them a framework for ideas they could share about themselves.
