English Voki!

 VOKI!

After seeing some people create Vokis, I decided to experiment with the tool myself. I created this voki as an example of what I might create to use with my ELL students.

I had a hard time recording my voice on the Voki itself, so I saved a file of a voice recording and then uploaded it onto the site.

For those of you who have created Vokis, did you run into the same problem? I'd love to know what I was doing wrong!

  1. THis tool, while probably not age appropriate for my students, is perfect both for what you teach and the grade level of your students. This is a perfect and extremely useful application of this tool and I can see you making great use of it in the future.

  2. Diana, I also used a Voki as one of my web 2.0 tools because I had never used it before. I personally used the text to speech feature and had to type some things phonetically for the avatar to pronounce it correctly. But I love that you used a cartoon character to get your student’s attentions and it is probably best for them to hear your voice and not an avatar especially if English is there second language.

  3. I have not had issues with voice recording my voice other than not liking the way I sound.
